I don't like tiny hands and I don't like how some things are slowly morphing away from older designs, new ork faces look odd. Assembly instructions are at times mislabelled or just confusing. My biggest complaint is the amount of fragile elements amongst these new generation of miniatures, pieces that snap with little amount of encouragement, some even shatter while being cut off the sprue. These are meant to be playing pieces not ornaments.

I'm on my second viewing of this video, and feel like it won't be the last. Such an excellent, flexible and forgiving, approach to grimdark.

Love this format. Thanks. Actually really helpful technique to put a photo into Photoshop or another app to check corrections before ‘correcting’ on the model.

I wasn't actually looking for a grim dark tutorial, but I thought it sounded interesting! I just started painting, and this really gave me some ideas, and techniques to try out on my sylvaneth army! Thank you so much man!

A lot of new models look great, but they are designed for marketing, with no concern for practicality. Models are harder to build, harder to store and transport, but surely look flashier than the older ones. P. S. The amount of time I'm willing to spend depends on the model and placement of a gap. Sometimes you just have to let it go and move to the next step to not go mad.

I’ve been on the same W&N S7 00 for about 4 years, used it on nearly every model I’ve painted. It still has a great tip but the belly is tiny. I have a 0 and 1 that I got at the same time and those have no faired as well over time. This made me realize I have probably earned some new detail and workhorse brushes. :)

I haven't seen a tutorial on the interesting colour blends of the Tiger Claws (Badab wars)

Once a synthetic brush tip goes just cut it off straight and you have a nice little dry brush.

Rosemary and Co Series 33 have been my go to for good brushes.

I think complicated models are great, amazing, awesome... in skirmish games. If I have to build and paint 6 models for my gang, sure make it as fancy as you wish. But then I painted a night haunt army and all those fiddly things that move whenever you put a brush against them killed my motivation to ever paint more of those.

I remember a story I heard from a local hobbyist when the new Empire State Troops were released. A GW employee talked about how detailed they were and the hobbyist said that how many of those details can one see in a unit of 30?

Which metal color you spray on the body ? That's very awesome .

For the hazards stripes you should have done a sort of a square mask with one or two perpendicular stripes that maintains the ones you put on the mini, I’ve never tried this but that’s how i’d do it i guess lol

Aren't the colors backwards? The brighter color from where the round comes out?

I always freehand my hazard stripes. Messing around with masking tape looks like a nightmare. Mind you I thing using an airbrush is too much hassle as well.

This is why I stay away from more modern GW models generally, their just too detailed for my level of skill rn.
